What is Ghost Writing

Do you have a quilt design ready but don’t have the time (or patience) to write the pattern? Or just don't know where to start? I can help! As a quilt pattern ghostwriter, I take your design and turn it into a professionally written, ready-to-publish pattern. Whether you need just a little bit of help or want me to write the full pattern, I am here for you. Services can include as much or as little as you need.

Here’s what I can do for you:

• Quilt Math & Yardage Calculations – Accurate measurements and fabric requirements.
• Diagrams & Figures – Clear visuals to support your instructions.
• Written Instructions/Pattern Copy – Step-by-step instructions in a clear and consistent voice.
• Full Pattern Write-Up – A polished, easy-to-follow pattern ready for your customers.

Pricing, Payment, & Turnaround 

Writing a full pattern typically takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks. If you need a faster turnaround please reach out to me so that we can discuss (a rush services fee may apply).

$35/hour, billed in 5 minute increments. Payment is due within 2 weeks of being invoiced or before pattern launch, whichever is first.   

I work with professional Adobe products, your pattern will be created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
